Welcome to NWC in 2016!!
The Home of Northwest Chill and Northwest "Chillin"
Well 2015 was an awesome year getting to know even more of you as we continue playing around the south Puget Sound area! The venues we play at vary from night clubs to public events such as the the Alderbrook End-of-Summer Party, and a number of private events and weddings. This year we concentrated on recording and getting a CD out. Northwest Chill "Breaking the Ice" is being released the end of June!
As many know, our musical style ranges from the 1950s to today. So regardless of your genre of rock music, we've got something for you! We also write our own music, so expect to hear a bit of fresh original music in our sets to boot! Either way, come on out and see us - you'll have a great time!
Keep checking back often as we continually update our play dates and other information not only regarding Northwest Chill, and our "acoustic" version: Northwest Chillin', but individual solo projects as well. Thank you for visiting!
Be sure to follow us on Facebook by becoming friends with Northwest Chill!

January 22, 2016: Well "HAPPY NEW YEAR 2016"!! We have lots of plans for this year. Many of you likely heard we partnered with the local public schools to help foster, develop, and promote music for young musicians in our area. We've had a blast working with these fine young musicians! This year we'll be taking a few months off from playing live in March - May to spend some time in the recording studio working on our first CD of original music! We're excited about the opportunity to do this and look forward to having it available for you all when we start back up in July. Keep checking our Facebook Page for updates. Keep checking back, as we plan to have a lot going on this year!!
August 6, 2015: What a fun summer so far with lots of AWESOME weather! We have a few more outdoor events to play at during the next couple months, so come help us keep the party going! September 6th we'll be back closing the "Hood Canal End of Summer Party" held on the beach-side lawn of The Alderbrook Resort & Spa in Union, so be sure to mark that event! In Port Orchard, we'll be back at "Moon Dogs, Too!" on Friday Sept 18th 7-11pm. So bring your friends and let's have fun! Check our calendar for upcoming events and our acoustic configuration "NW Chillin".
January 25, 2015: Starting Sunday March 1st, Northwest Chill will be hosting a "Northwest Songwriters Unveiled" event at Moon Dogs Too in Port Orchard. The event will be held the 1st Sunday of every month in the upstairs lounge of Moon Dogs and feature a number of local artists performing original music. Check out our new "NWC Events Page" for more details and be sure come out and support local music!!
December 31, 2014: The members of Northwest Chill would like to bid a fond farewell to one of our founding members, Mr. Randy Galla as being a professional contractor with the economy looking up, he has gotten quite busy as of late (Does AWESOME work by the way!) You'll still be seeing Randy around the area as he additionally pursues his interest in playing acoustically. We would also like to welcome Mr. Tim Silke to the band. Tim has played (and continues to on a part-time basis) with "The Woodies", "Chicken Joe", and "Rewired" (apparently he loves to play!) So be sure to check us out in the new year as NWC continues to grow and ROCK ON!!
March 21, 2014: We'll it looks like we're finally approaching the end of run of nasty weather here in the Pacific Northwest, so it's time to start getting OUTSIDE!! Northwest Chill will be playing a few larger outdoor venues this year, so keep checking our calendar. June 7th-8th is the "Gig Harbor Maritime Festival". We'll be opening the event on the Saturday June 7th right after the parade starting at 12:15pm down on the Gig Harbor waterfront at Skansie Brothers Park and playing until about 2pm. You can also see us at The Alderbrook Resort and Spa on the Hood Canal on August 31st for the "End of Summer Celebration" as we bring the summer to a close in a typical Northwest Chill dance/party fashion! Other events are currently in the works on both sides of the Puget Sound, so come out to dance, party, and ENJOY MUSIC IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST!!
January 1, 2014: Many of have told us that they wished we would play more of our original music, well.... wish granted! For 2014, NWC has reduced its club playing schedule so we can dedicate time to writing music and recording with the goal of putting a CD out at some point during the year. We'll be adding original songs to our current set lists for you all to listen to, so be sure to let us know what you think. As we continue to record, we'll be modifying this website so songs can be purchased and downloaded right from here, maybe even some other cool NWC stuff as well! So keep checking back, and continue to come see us at the events posted on our calendar!
November 26, 2014: Well apparently I haven't had much time to update this! We have some exciting changes coming up with Northwest Chill, which we'll post here when it's time. We'll be making the initial announcement this evening at "The Flotation Device" as we play for their Thanksgiving "Pre-Funk" event from 9pm - 1am. We also now have the availability for you to receive an emailed band newsletter if you're interested! If so, just go to our Facebook page: www.Facebook.com/NorthwestChill and subscribe by clicking on the "More" link under our page photo, then selecting the email sign-up. Currently this is working best with computer access vs. smartphones, but Mel's looking into it. If you don't make it tonight, be sure to come see us on New Years Eve at The Flotation Device as well! Right next door is the "Westwynd Motel" so book a room and make a night of it! The Float has AWESOME breakfasts as well, which will help the next morning - heck join the band for breakfast!
